FEDERATION’S ANNUAL MEETING. GATHERING AT PALMERSTON. The Dominion Group Herd Testing Federation will hold its ninth annual meeting of tlie council at Palmerston North on Tuesday, June 25. It is considered that the forthcoming meeting of the council will be the most important yet held in view of the Dairy Commission's recommendation in regard to herd testing. Many things of outstanding moment to Ihe dairying industry will be discussed, notably heifer calf marking, while if is probable Hint many new regulations governing testing will be introduced. The meeting will mark another milestone in a great movement Hint had its riso in the Waikato during Die 1922-23 season when it was initialed by far-sighted men who had vision enough to see that such a movement would be of paramount importance to the dairying industry and of Inestimable benefit to the Individual farmer*
