WAIKATO HUNT
MEET AT HINUERA. IDEAL CONDITIONS! PREVAIL. Tlie Waikato Hunt mot at Hinuera during the week-end when conditions were Ideal for hunting: and hares were plentiful. A held or about 3 0 riders followed, and a number of onlookers, In ears, watched the hunt. The hounds threw off the property of Mr H. S. Wyatt, about 12 o’clock, and arter making down the left of the road for some timi they swung back through the properties or Messrs W. Anderson, S. Banks and W. Holwell.
There were some excellent runs on the Hat and two kills were registered. The doubles across the road on the flat provided spectacular Jumping. Tho hounds picked up strong: scents and were soon nearly to Tirau and eventually reached Mr Allen’s property on the Tirau Road. 'As the bark country was all unlaid the followers did not take part In tho final run, hut returned to Mr Wyatt’s place. Tho Master, Mr Wynn Brown, and tiio whips had difficulty In overtaking the hounds and they did not return until after five o’clock.
The hunt was entertained by Mr H. S. Wyatt and Mr and Mrs John Arnold. In the absence or tho Master ( tho secretary, Mr 0. Meredith, • returned thanks lo the host and hostess for their much appreciated entertainment.
