The Australian Agricultural Council, at a meeting in Canberra, approved in principle, a proposal for the eo-ordinalion of ail Hie phases of tiic dairying Industry. The aeliiig-Prime Minister, 'Dr. Earle Page, explained I Inti. Hie main idea was (lie selling up of a ■central organisation which would he ’responsible for Ihe regulation of exports, ■and also act in an advisory capacity to Hie Commonwealth and Slate Governments on all matters of production and marketing.
An important aim would he lo improve ihe general quality of butter Intended for export and to manage the industry on a national basis.
