Fifty ‘boys sent by the Auckland Boys’ Unemployment Committee will arrive in Hamilton in July for a course of agricultural instruction at Ruakura. The boys will probably be here for about two weeks, and 'Mr W. 11. Paul, secretary of the Waikato Winter Show Association, and Mrs H. G. 'Ross, are undertaking to provide entertainment and comforts for them during their visit.
How a little thoughtlessness may lead to sorry results was well evidenced during the progress of the musical competitions at the show yesterday afternoon when the youngsters piped a dainty air in the children’s vocal classes. Several members of the audience persisted in moving about the concert hall—some seeking the dressing rooms —while others continued lo rattle seats and talk in an audible whisper. It was to the credit of the competitors that none broke down under the strain that was imposed but the additional difficulties thrust upon both judge and children were obvious. Little can be done in such cases by the show authorities and the annoyance can be eliminated only by the exercise of personal consideration for others.
