Mr Eamonn De Valera, in the Dali Elreann, stated that the Irish Free State withheld from Britain £4,900,000, including £2,960,000 in land annuities.

The 'British duties on Irish Free State produce yielded £4,692,000. Mr Sean McEntee, Minister of Finance, announced that the income of Irish Free Stpie residents from foreign investments totalled £9,000,000 in 1933.
