MR C. B. TASKER LEAVING. TRANSFER TO CHRISTCHURCH. Advice of his transfer to Christchurch on promotion ns mails superintendent at the Chief Post Office has been received by Mr C. B. Tasker, postmaster at the Frankton Railway Post Office. Mr Tasker will leave shortly to take up his now position. For five yoars Mr Tasker has been postmaster at the railway office at Frankton, which h the largest railway office ill the Dominion. This ofilee is used almost solely to ensure the rapid transit of mails through' the railway system, and between 800 am] 900 bugs of mail are handled there dally. Regarded throughout the service as a capable and efficient officer, Mr Tasker was formerly mail agent in the marine post office, and for a number of years was engaged on Hie mail service between Wellington and San Francisco.
