Good competition resulted, with excellent clearances. The market on the whole was practically unchanged compared with the closing rates at the last series. BRISBANE, April 30. At the opening of the wool sales prices showed an advance of 74 per cent, on the closing of the Sydney sales of April 11. Competition was keen for the average selection, and the clearance was the best seen at an auction for a considerable time.
