Temmel, when a small boat In which they were sailing round the world sank d-uring a storm In the Bay of Bengal. Temmel was drowned, but Gruenfeld ®wain four miles to Sandwipl Island, where he was picked up by a passing steamer. Gruenfeld sailed from Vienna in 1931. lie now possesses only a shirt and borrowed shorts.
