EGMONT MEETING.
A speolal Inducement in the form of very moderate excursion rates Is offered by the Railway Department to the racing public of Auckland and the Waikato to attend the Egmont Raolng Club’3 King’s Jubilee Winter meeting at Hawera on Saturday and Monday. The progressive gesture of the Railway Department in tills direction should not fall to meet with wide patronage. The fields throughout the programme are of a decidedly. Interesting nature and Include a quartette from Te Rapa stables, besides representatives from Te Aroha, Paeroa, Matamata, and Te Awamutu. The train will leave Frankton on Friday night and will depart from Hawera Monday evening on the return trip. Arrangements for the entertainment of visitors over Sunday have been provided for by the Club.
