VALEDICTORY.

FAREWELL AT FRANKTON. REV. J. HASLAM HONOURED. In the Frankton Sunday School Halt, Rev, J. H, and Mrs Hasiam were farewelled on the eve of their departure for Wellington. Rev. 11. Peat presided and there was a good attendance, with visitors from Maeroa, Hamilton and Claudeland'S.

Eulogistic speeches were made by Mr Mead, on behalf of the YjAL Bible Class; Mr Paterson, Franklon Sunday School; Mr W- Smith, St. Paul’s Sunday School; Mr Primmer, Maeroa Sunday School; Mr Tietjens, Hamilton Circuit; and Mr Kilham, Frankton. They wished the guests Goi}-speed and happy associations in their future home.

Mr Haslam was presented with a bedside electric reading lamp from Frankton and Maeroa friends.

Mrs Wait presented Mrs Haslam with a fireside stool and electron, and Mrs Everiss presented her with a beautiful bouquet, on behalf of St. Paul’s Ladies’ Guild. Mr Haslam suitably replied, and returned thanks for the gifts and the kind wishes. The following items were given:— Pianoforte duets, Misses Ursula Bary and I. Higgins; songs, Messrs Williams and llaslam; violin solos, Miss Rona Tombs; piano solo, Master Elvin Hayward.
