Georgina Picard scored a sensational 67, five under par, In the opening round of 72 holes at the Augusta National 5000-dollar Invitation Tournament. Robert Jones, who originated this annual blue ribbon golf event, scored 74, his poor putting being costly. Sarazen, Ray Mangrum, and Willie Cogging took 68. Revolta, Runyan and Hines were well up with 70; Hagen, 73; Dawson, 75.
