SHOOTING ACCIDENT SEQUEL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TAUMARUNUI, Saturday. The death occurred in the hospital this morning of Miss Ethel McCann, aged 29, as the result of a shooting accident at Taringamotu yesterday. Her brother, Owen McCann, aged 22, was loading a gun outside the house preparatory to going shooting. Suddenly the gun exploded, the charge passing through the open kitchen door, then through the wall into the din-ing-room. where some pellets struck the girl in the , face. She fell unconscious and was taken to hospital.
