“A WORTHY CAUSE.”

WAIKATO CHILDREN’S CAMP,

BOROUGH COUNCIL’S SUPPORT. “I think that this is one of the cases where the council can very well give a donation,” observed the Mayor, Mr J. R. Fow, at a meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council last evening, when a letter was received from the Waikato Children’s Camp League enlisting the council’s support in financing the annual camp at Port Waikato for the district’s needy children. “It is a fact that these children have a happy time in camp, where they are under the care of a band of enthusiasts,” added Mr Fow, in moving that the council should make a contribution of £2O towards the League’s funds. “I think the great feature of this camp is that everyone is accepted, regardless of erreed or colour," observed Mr F. Findlay, “It is regarded throughout the Waikato as a very worthy cause,” supplemented Mr T. Parker. The motion was carried.
