MATANGI FUNCTION.

LADIES’ GUILD AFTERNOON. The usual monthly meeting organised by the ladies of St. David’s Guild was held •in the Matangi Hall on Friday afternoon, December 14. A very enjoyable time was spent playing flag--500, the winners being Mesdames 11. Windsor, A. Jamieson and W. Tomlinson. The. competition was won by Mrs Betteley, and guessing the weight of'cake was won by Mrs Jamieson. Mrs Dunford was in charge of the trading table, which did good business. Later, a dainty afternoon tea was served, the hostesses being Mesdames II- Taylor and W. Tomlinson.
