SUMMER MEETING. TO BE HELD DECEMBER. HANDICAPS DECLARED. The following handicaps for the Waipa Racing Club’s meeting, to be held at Te Awamutu on December 15, have been declared by Air F; J. McManemin:—

WAIPA RACING OLUB. At a meeting of the committee Mr. J. T. Johnson presided over a large attendance. The principal matter dealt with was the system of totalisator betting, and opinions were divided on the subject of continuing the win and place system or reverting to the old two dividend system.) It was decided to continue with the win and place system. . The secretary reported that the number of nominations was greater this year than a year ago, there being 142 against 131. The secretary reported that the canteen of cutlery donated by Mr. W. Montgomery, of Auckland, lo accompany the stake for the To Awamutu Cup had come lo hand. Mr. Tims stated that the trophy for the Hack Cup Handicap, donated by Messrs, J- D. Shea, R. ’ Maher and other local enthusiasts, was being ordered. It would be a worthy trophy.
