' Because an aeroplane advertising a well-known firm flew over the Mersey tunnel entrance during the King's speech, the firm, while announcing that instructions miscarried, gave the Lord Mayor of Liverpool £SOOO for charities, as atonement for an Incident detracting from the impressiveness of the ceremony.
