DEPOT BLOWN TO PIECES.

FELT OVER 14 MILES. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright* (Received July 20, 11.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 20. A terrific explosion which the polloe believe was deliberately set off, occurred early this morning when a large quantity of gelignite and detonators exploded In the unemployed relief work 3 depot in Bexley Suburb. The depot was blown to pieces, sheets of iron and tool 3 being hurled hundreds of yards. Windows In the neighbouring houses were shattered and ceilings fell In. Shop windows collapsed. The residents of the locality were terrified. Some people sleeping In beds were shaken violently as If by an earthquake. Tho electric light wires were severed by flying iron, plunging the district into darkness. Tho effect of the explosion was felt 14 miles away.
