THAMES VALLEY SHOW

TO BE HELD THIS MONTH. CLASH WITH AIRMAN’S VISIT. The president, Mr. W. T. Dale, presided at a meeting- of the executive committee of the Thames Valley; Agricultural and Pastoral Association to consider the report or the committee that ■waited upon the Te Aroha Aero Club in reference to tho dates arranged for the vis it this month or Sir Charles Klngsford Smitn. The secretary read the correspondence to the Aero Club, In which the association protested against the dates, which would countct with the show days, and a letter was read from the Aero Club stating that Anniversary Day had been selected for the visit by Sir Ktngsford Smith’s plane and there would be difficulty in ro-arranging tho Dominion itinerary of the aviator.

The opinion was expressed by some members that ir the show this year was cancelled a severe lossi would result financially. Other members favoured the abandonment of the show for this year. Mr. W.. A. Clark and .\rr. tx. XV. Wild contended that in justice to the golf clubs, recently inaugurated, the show should be held this year. Mr. R. Coulter, president of the Aero Club, spoke on the subject from the point or view of his club. He contended the visit of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith on the 2nth Instant would not Interfere with the show attendance on the 3 Ist Instant.

H. was unanimously decided to hold the show on January 30 and 31.
