“JONAH STORY TRUE.” Dr. William Evans, described as the leading United States expounder of the ruble, arrived in London last month from Los Angeles, his home, to address a series of conferences of the Hible Testimony Fellowship. “There is a great hunger to-day for knowledge of the Bible,” he told a reporter. “It Is greater in England than in the United States, but in due time it will sweep back across the sea again. “After the war it was the fashion among some people to discredit 111-* Bible's accuracy. Uenesis was a laughing-stock. To-day science :.s constantly making discoveries that prove that Uenesis was an accurate piece of history. “Some day they will he convinced, as I am, I hat the miracles of the obi Testament are likewise true. I hav no doubts as lo the authenticity of the story of Jonah and the whale.”
