KITCHEN EVENING AT HAIRINI. On Tuesday evening the many friends of Miss Alairgaret Bryant, who Is to be married on the 20th of the month, arranged a kitchen evening iij ,her honour and this- was held in the ■Halrlni Hall.

During the .evening the guests were entertained by the followTnj? Items:—Vocal solo, “Arise, Oh Sun," sung by Airs AV. F. Woodward; pianoforte duet toy Misses Agnes Rennie and Alavis Collison; demonstration. “How to Keep Fit,’’ by Misses Beatrice Afonteflare and Leila North; duet and dance by Misses Bertha Bowden and Lorraine Cruickshank; solo, Airs Collins. The guests were also entertained by dancing, the muslo for which was supplied ny Air Dalton.

After a very enjoyable supper had been served, Mr Ken Balme, on behalf of the distriot, conveyed to Miss Bryant their good wishes for her future happiness and asked her to aooept an exceedingly wide range of attractive gifts. After Aliss Bryant had opened -her paroels 'her future husband, Air Ken Rollet, thanked those* present for their gifts and good wishes.
