BOWLING.

AROUND THE GREENS. PROGRAMME FOR TO-MORROW. Club competitions will be continued on most of the local bowling greens to-morrow. The principal event will be the Claudelands Club’s annual “At Home,” which will he attended by teams from other clubs. Several Hamilton rinks will also travel to Huntly for the Huntly Club’s opening function. . 4 The interest of bowlers throughout the district will be centred in the meeting of Frankton and Hamilton teams, in a match for the SmithClarke Shield, on the Frankton green. Frankton, the holders of the trophy, have survived three matches, and the result of to-morrow’s engagement will he awaited with interest. The programme on the local greens will be as follows:—r Railway. * Percentage fours and ordinary draw. Hamilton East. Champion-of-champions rink match, club competitions and ordinary draw. Hamilton. Ordinary draw and club competitions. Frankton. Ordinary draw, Smith-Clarke Shield match with Hamilton, and club competitions. Claudelands. < “At Home" day. Whltlora. Ordinary draw, Mason Stars, HAMILTON EAST CLUB. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. The Hamilton East Club will be represented by a rink at Claudelands “At Home," consisting of W. J. Jordan (s), Karton, Mclntyre) j and Coombes. ’ '■ 1 ’ : A rink will also visit Huntly to represent the club at the Huntly Club’s opening. The following will make the trip: J. Prlckett (s), Griffiths, Lorimer and Gordon. The next round of the ohamplon-of-ohampions rink games will be played between rinks skipped by Robertson (two-lifer) and G. Lymburn, the latter having defeated Jordan last week-end by a small margin. The rinks competition for Christmas cakes presented annually to the club by Mr S. J. Rawlinson will lake place during the week-end. Three games of ten hfcads will be played, and in the event of ties the highest aggregate score will be the winner. A full muster of members Is expeoted to take part in this competition.
