FRENCH BUDGET.
BITTER FIGHT PENDING. WILL GOVERNMENT SUCCEED? United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received Dec. 8, 8.40 a.m.) PARIS, Dec. 7. France’s third Government in six weeks will to-day attempt to pass the Budget .through the Chamber. The battle will mainly rage round two articles. The first, on which two Governments have fallen, provides for a modest levy on civil servants’ salaries. The second is a new proposal, seeking to abolish a number of allowances granted to income taxpayers. It is probable the Government will accept considerable modification without putting the question of confidence.
