NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. In the final of the New Zealand amateur billiards, A. Albertson, Lyttelton, beat S. Humphreys by 1500 points to 1443. Two mistakes were made in the last hundred. The marker announced a mistake in the scoring and Albertson was advanced 20 points, the score then being 1407 to 1443. Humphreys ran the balls into an attractive position, but the referee ruled that he played the wrong bal' and Albertson was left with an easy red loser for points.
