PIGEON RACING
HAMILTON HOMING CLUB. The above club Hew its second race of the old bird series from Ohakune, an airline distance of 114 miles, in good weather. Results were: F. Woodcock’s 242 (velocity 1285 yards per minute), 1; W. G. Pountney's 215 (1217yds), 2; Monel and Fitzgerald’s 57 (1215yds), 3. Other speeds recorded were: Woodhall and iron (1214yds), Crabbc and Son (1212yds), Bushell and Ashton (1200yds), ,r. Cooper (1180yds), W. Grace (1177yds), Masters and Son (1171.5yd5), Thomas and Son (1171 yds), F. Clements (1105yds). Seventy-seven birds competed. Next week the club will tlv a race from Feilding in rnn.junelion with the South Auckland Federation.
