FORDMAIV? SHIELD. HAMILTON A WIN CHAMPIONSHIP At Seddon Park on Saturday the Hamilton primary schools’ A- team became the first winners of the Fordham Shield by defeating the Hamilton B team in the final. The shield carries with it the title of championship of Auckland Province. The game was an interesting one and the teams were evenly matched, the A’s having slightly the better forward line, where Crabb distinguished himself by scoring all three goals for his team, lie played a good game lint, was inclined to bold the ball too long when a pass to Ills wings would have brought better results. Other good players in tlie A team were Kirk, Larsen, Webster and Homera. In the B team the forwards failed with the exception of I remonger, who, by two splendid runs on tin left, gave Doyle .an opportunity to score two capital goals. In addiiton to iremonger, Jingles, Campbell and Mead played well but altogether the A team were superior and deserved their win.
