GLEN MASSEY.-
THE WEATHER. A strong easterly gale raged over the week-end, the wind at times reaching hurricane force. However, only minor damage was done, a few trees being tiprooted and one or two fences levelled. Church Services. Two services were held in the Church orf Sunday. In tho afternoon the Rev. Mr Ruprecht, of Pukemlro, conducted the quarterly Presbyterian service and the Methodist service In the evening was conducted by the Rev. Mr Attwood, of. Ngaruawahia. Dairying Prospects. The mild winter and spring, combined with liberal topdressing, nave resulted In a remarkable growth or pasture for this time of the year. Dairy herds are coming In irr excellent condition and everything points to a record season. Successful Dance. The Cycle Club held a largely attended and most successful dance on Saturday. The floor was In splendid order and excellent dance music was played by Forrest’s Orchestra. Monte Carlo waltzes were won bv Mr and Mrs G. Duck and Miss P. Morwood and Mr Waugh respectively. Personal. Miss M. Fowler, of Auckland, is spending a holiday at Glen Massey with her parents. Mrs Chapman, of Auckland, has returned from ■ a visit, to Glen Massey as the guest of Mrs A. Cook. Miss E. Crozler, of Auckland, has been the guest of Mrs G. Bull, -Glen Massey.
