TE AWAMUTU.
LAWN TENNIS CLUB. The annual report of the Te Awamutu Lawn Tennis Club’s annual meeting showed that last season was one of the most successful season's the club had experienced. The club champions for the season were: Men’s singles, D. Speedy; women’s singles, Miss G. Bell; men s doubles, D. Speedy and 11. V. Holmes; combined doubles, G. Wood and Miss G. Bell; Junior men’s singles, A. Ross; Junior women’s singles, Miss Z. Noonan. The financial position was most satisfactory. The ’election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr C. G. Downes; president, Mr 0. S West; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. V. Holmes, M. Loveridge, and V. Miller; secretary Mr D. G. McCallum; auditor, Mr W. McGlvern; general committee, Misses G West, Z. Noonan, B! Bowden, N. Maxwell, and Messrs. D. Speedy and R. 'Goodall- ground committee, Messrs. 5. Miller, D G. McCallum and C. Reilly; match committee, Mrs A. Bowler, Miss E. yraxwell and Messrs. D. Speedy and G. Wood; club captain, G. Wood; vlce-caplain, Mr D. S-peedy. The appointment of a treasurer was deferred!.
