PROTEST AGAINST DELETION. ACTION AT NEW PLYMOUTH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Tuesday. The decision of the Transport Appeal Board in deleting the motor service between Hamilton and Auckland on the Auckland to New Plymouth service has evoked many protests in Taranaki. The New Plymouth Tourist and Expansion League to-day passed the following resolution:—“This meeting strongly protests against the action of the Transport Appeal Board in cancelling tourist motor services between Auckland and New Plymouth, for the following reasons: Loss of an efficient and reliable service at suitable times; diversion of tourist traffic from the province, an increase in unemployment, inconvenience and loss to Taranaki business people.”
