SEARCH PARTY RETURNS. t . 1 . i“, ' ' : , DELAYED BY BAD WEATHER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Until the weather at Arthur’s Pass changes It will be impossible for the search to be continued and members of.' the Canterbury Mountaineering Club-who were at the Pass returned to Christchurch to-day. There was some doubt when Mr Russell was first missed whether he had actually been with the party when the snow slide ooourred, but it Is now known that he was seen well above the snow line and was therefore almost certainly ‘among those who encountered the snow slide not far from the top. The party to-day made as thorough a search as was possible under difficult 5 conditions, but found no trace of Mr Russell.
STILL NO TRAOE. DIFFICULTIES OF SEARCHERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ' CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. No trace has been found of the missing climber, Mr Edgar Russell, despite a further search to-day under trying conditions.
