STOCK EXCHANGE.
THE AUCKLAND MARKETS. QUIETER TONE PREVAILS. (By Telegraph.—Special (o Times.) AUCKLAND, Tuesday. There was a quieter tone on the Stock Exchange at the first call this morning, although values were not greatly changed. The banking section was quiet but firm. Buyers for New South Wales advanced their offers to £32. For New Zcalands, £2 9s 3d was again available. (las shares were quoted ex div. with buyers at £l.2s lOd. Consolidated bricks were again in request at 4s 3d. Waihls were very firm with buyers at £1 3s Od, and no sellers.
Government stocks showed little change. Local body issues were quiet.
SALES RECORDED. (By Telegraph.—Pross Association.) AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The following sales were recorded on the Stock Exohange to-day:— Farmers' Trading, 3s 6d. Grand Junction, 3s Sd. Nokomai, 4s 6d. A.P.A., Us 2d. Commercial Bank, 16s 6d. Alexander Mines, 19s Gd.
