GORDONTON NOTES.

FOOTBALL CLUB ANNUAL BALL. The annual ball of the Gordonton Football Club was held on Wednesday, and was a great success, many visitors from all parts'being present. The hall was beautifully decorated in the club colours—blue and white streamers. The stage was arranged with goal posts and evergreens. The supper room colour scheme was pink, the tables being artistically decorated with vases of pink camellias and Japonica. Monte Carlo prizes were won by Miss T. Ruddle and Mr N. Waite and Mrs H. Waring and Mr H. McDonald. Popular'dance musio was rendered by Shaw’s orchestra, extras being played by Mesdames Bell and Carswell and Mr Lloyd Peach. The handsome Vanoouver Cup won by the club’s senior team was presented to Mr R. Hanna - (captain) by Mr L. Powell, patron of'the Taupiri SubUnion. The'ladies’ committee were: Miss I.
