CARD EVENING. Mr and Mrs F. Pope, “Evergreen,” entertained a few of their friends at a card evening on Tuesday evening last to welcome to the district Mr O’Connor. A very pleasant evennig was spent. Those present were: Mrs F. Pope, Mrs Frank Pope, Mrs Beet, Mrs J. Bollard, Mrs Hopping, Miss McGuirk, ‘Miss Gibbs, Mr F. Pope, Mr Frank Pope, Mr G. Pope, Mr O’Connor, Mr J. Bollard, Mr W. Beet, Mr A. Thompson, Mr Hunt and Mr Martin. 6URPRISE PARTY. On Wednesday evening last a surprise party visited Mr and Mis M. J. Corcoran and celebrated the anniversary of their wedding. Dancing and games were enjoyed by all, and a very happy time was spent. Among those present were Mesdames M. J. Corcoran, wearing navy figured crepe de chine; Mrs J. M.
