WITH BUTCHER’S CHOPPER. SCENE IN SYDNEY STREET. (From a Correspondent.) SYDNEY, July 20. A wild struggle between, two Maltese, one of whom wielded a butcher’s chopper, attracted a large crowd in Willliam Street this aiternoon. T-hs man with the chopper was arrested after a fight with a policeman. George Formosa informed the polloe that he was walking along William Street when he was approached by a countryman, and after a few words had been exchanged the latter rushed to a near-by butcher’s shop, snatched up a , chopper and attacked Formosa. Formosa managed to ward off seveval blows and the attacker than ran to a house in East Sydney, where Constable W. Noble found him still grasping the chopper. Noble closed with the man, and eventually succeeded in overpowering him.
