WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.

NGARUAWAHIA BRANCH. The annual social of the Ngaruawahia Institute was held in the Town Hall, there being a large attendance of members and friends. - Music for dancing was suppued bythe Kit Kat Orchestra. Mr A. Menzies made an efficient M.G. ■ A euchre tournament was well patronised, the stage being crowded with players- The ladies’ prize was won toy Mrs Spier and the men’s by Mr W. Wilson. - During the evening the young ladies of the Horotiu Institute gave an exhibition of the Gavotte, which was greatly appreciated. Mrs Fuller and Miss Butcher sang a duet in character, causing great amusement in the audience .which demanded an encore. "A dainty supper was provided by members of the inftitute. '. ■ -
