MAD HATTER’S PARTY. A jolly Mad Hatter’s party, organised by the Women's Institute, in aid 0 r the Mayor's Relief Fund, was held In the ToWn Hall on Wednesday, July 26. A great variety of hats were worn, paper and vegetables featuring mainly in the making of the majority. Some very clever and original models were seen and the judges had a very difficult task to select the best- Prizes for the best hals were presented by the Mayor, Mr C. G. Downes, io the following: Mrs W. MeCready, Miss M. Cruickshank, Messrs. .1. u'Sulliva'n and Ramsbottom. Dance music was provided by Mrs E. Holmes and },er orchestra, while extras were played by Mrs Sbulle and Mr hangman. After a tasty savoury supper had been served by members of ihe Institute dancing was continued until about midnight.
