SUNSHINE LEAGUE.

SOCIAL AFTERNOON. A very pleasant time was spent by & number of ladies at the residence of Mrs J. Treloar on Thursday. / The occasion, which took the form of a social afternoon, was arranged by Mrs F. Mason, convenor of the social activities of the Sunshine League, assisted by Mesdames Owsley, Beebe and Cheesman, lady members of the executive committee, to augment the funds of the League.

Mrs Treloar, gowned in a furtrimmed frock of plum coloured satin beaute, assisted in receiving the guests. A novel competition, that of discovering three members of the Loyal family in the gathering, resulted ia a general feeling of warmth and friendliness among all present and was won by Mrs Murchie. A whistling competition, which proved very humorous, was won by Mrs Absolum.

A most enjoyable programme was rendered by Mrs Cohnell, Miss Doherty and Miss Robson, songs; Rev. Haslam, violin solos- Mrs Gilbert was the accompanist. Among those present were Mesdames Yule, Griffiths, J. "Williams, R.. Bennett, Treloar, Malcolm, Boyd, Vereck, S. Bennett, Luxford, Absolum, Connell, Herbert, Jones, Carter, Cook, Lawson, Conradl, Hall, Haynes, Owsley, Pomeroy. Nicholson.
