SHOP-LIFTER IMPRISONED.
MARRIED WOMAN’S . OFFENCE. COMMENTS BY MAGISTRATE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Saturday. A married woman, Rachall Stott (49), was sentenced to three months In gaol to-day for shop-lifting. She admitted eight charges of stealing goods worth £29. It was admitted she had no need to steal. When she was detected yesterday she carried brown paper and string with which to wrap up the goods purloined. The Magistrate said he felt very sorry for her husband, but there were too many thefts for him to refrain from sending accused lo prison.
