NEEDS OF THE WORLD

MORE KINDLINESS WANTED. SERMON BY REV. ARCHDALL. The accommodation at St. Aldan’s Church, Claudelands, was fully taxed yesterday morning:, when the Rev. H. K. Archdall, headmaster of King’s College, was the preacher. Among those present were members of the King’s College Old Boys’ Association. In his address Mr Archdall appealed for more democracy in spirit and more aristocracy in leadership and organisation. He urged that all groups including social circles, the church and the nation should practice more kindliness and large-heartedness ttowards others and that they should become more responsive to the needs of the world. Mr Archdall preached on similar lines at St. Peter’s Cathedral at an earlier service.
