LADIES’ NIGHT HELD
A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION
The first Indies’ and members’ night, of the Hamilton Orphans’ Club’s It),’id session was held on Saturday, and proved a great success. There was a large attendance, and a most enjoyable evening was spent.
The chairman was Bro. vice-pre-sident C. U. .Mac Diarmid, who extended a welcome to the visitors. An excellent programme was presented. a feature being Handel’s Largo, played by the club's orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Harold Piper, with organ accompaniment. Comiutmnity singing, led by Mr. P. Evans, also proved a popular Hem. The performers in the concert, programme wore the club’s orchestra, and Messrs. (’>. Wheeler, L. Foster, E. Ewart, E. H. Quill (songs), Master llonnar (hoy soprano), Mr. S. Edwards (lap dance). Messrs. W. King, T. Vautier, If. Piper (instrumental trios), Messrs. P. Evans and the cliniri>,an (humour) The accompaniments were played by Mrs. L. Foster and Messrs H. Piper, W. Harrison, anil L Foster.
