Mr. Stanley Baldwin, speaking in Manchester, said the Conservatives’ opposition to self-government in Canada and South Africa had proved to he wrong. The Government’s proposals would save India for the Empire. hut Britain could not dictate what or where India should buy. Force could not break a national boycott. Lancashire and India were arriving at a friendly agreement.
