MORRINSVILLE.

Douglas Credit Meeting. At the fortnightly meeting of the Morrinsville branch of the Douglas Social Credit Association Mrs W. T. Smith gave an address on various points of the Dougias proposals. It was decided to hold meetings on the second and fourth Thursday in each month during the rest of the winter. Assessment Court. At a sitting of the Assessment Court on Wednesday, at which Mr J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., presided, objections t.o the valuation fixed by the reoent revaluation of the borough were received in respect of nearly 70 properties. The majority of the values were sustained. Three objections to valuations were made on behalf of owners of land in the Piako County. In all cases the values were sustained. Sunday School Conoert. The Masonic Hall was filled to capacity on Thursday evening, when a concert was given by the teachers and children of Knox Presbyterian Church Sunday School. A lengthy programme was received appreciatively.
