CONCLUDING DAY'S RESULTS.

PROLYXO WINS WAITOMO.

HURDLES TO HIGH COMMISSIONER,

The second and concluding day of the Te Kuiti Racing Club’s annual meeting was held at Te Rapa to-day in fine weather. There was a good attendance and the track was somewhat holding hut in good order. Following are the results:—

Mangu King was well favoured with £65 and £94 10s, Valpeen carrying £26 10s for a place and High Pitch £75 the same way.

Mangu King jumped cut smartly and was never headed. He led over the first fence where Ruby Meteor lost her rider. Nearest to Mangu King were gallant Jack and Golden Vanity with Valpeen and Coachman following and Standfast in the rear. Golden Vanity came down at the sod wall along the hack where Coachman also came to grief. Over the stand double Mangu King was still well clear and here Valpeen, Gallant Jack, High Pitch and Standfast were racing as named. Gallant Jack came to grief at the first fence of the double. Along the back and across there was no alteration and Mangu King came into the straight well clear of Valpeen and High Pitch with Standfast some distance back. Mangu King was not troubled to win easily toy five lengths from Valpeen with High Pitch 75 yards away. Standfast, the only other to finish was nearly a furlong behind the placed division. Time, 5.32 4-5. Mangu King fenced impressively throughout. Roman Mascot was bumped at the first fence and her rider was dislodged. Golden Vanity was •going well when he came down along the back.

Dust Up was favourite with £123 10s and £144, Phiakuo carrying £SB and £IOB. .Confuoco was entrusted with £34 for a place and Val Watch with £4O the same way.

Winner trained by -owner, Te Rapa. Phiakuo was never far away and won convincingly at the end. Grand City led early from Substation, Confuoco, Phiakuo and Val Watch. Confuoco had charge of affairs at -the top and here Substation, Grand City, Phiakuo, Val Watch, Tondaleyo and Whistling Rufus were the handiest of the others. Confuoco was clear Into the straight with Phiakuo close -on his heels in front of Grand City, Val Watch, Tondaleyo and Substation. Phiakuo went away and won comfortably by two lengths from ConMocoi with Val Watch -only a nose away. Sandy • Dix was the. closest of the others and he was followed by' Substation, Revelation, Kind Words and Sir Val. Time, 1.18 4-5. Phiakuo, who is trained by his owner at Te Rapa scored -his first success. He was somewhat unlucky on Saturday.. Confuoco was the pacemaker throughout hut failed over the final bit. Val Watch was finishing on well. Neither Dustup nor Twenty-four Carat threatened danger at any stage.

Speedmint was backed down practically tc- evens on the straight out machine, carrying £324 and £261, Prolyxo carrying £B9 and £163. Protomint was entrusted with £43 10s for a. place. Alloy jumped out smartly and led over the early bit from Tarporley, Princess Bede, Knight, of Australia, Speedmint and Prolyxo. Prolyxo moved up quickly across the top to lead here from Speedmint, Tarporley, Teels, Alloy, Protoinint, and Knight

of Australia. Prolyxo and Speedmint were on terms at the home turn where Protomint, Tarporley, Prince Val and Knight of Australia were all in the picture. Prolyxo finished solidly to prevail by a neck over the odds on favourite Speedmint with Protomint a length away. Master Norval was fourth In front of Tarporley, King Mark and Eager Rose. Time, 1.45 2-5.

Prolyxo improYed on her first day form and her display was a highly ■creditable one. Speedmint looked likely at the distance but could not overhaul the leader. Protomint finished on strongly.

High Commissioner was favourite with both sections of the public with £'l9o and £156, Biform carrying £l3O for a place and Free Air £95 10s the same way.

Thespis had the best of the despatch and passing ■ the stands was leading Mia Stella, Free Air, Cruachan, Goodfellow, Biform, Trishna, High Commissioner and True Blood with Cargen last. Along the back Thespis was still howling along in front of Cruachan, Free Air, Mia Stella, Biform and High Commissioner. High''Commissioner closed up quickly across the top and here he led Thespis, Cruachan, Biform and Free Air. High Commissioner led into the 'Straight with Biform close up and Cruachan, Thespis and Free Air all handy. It was a great finish and only the judge could separte them, the verdict going to High Commissioner by Half a 'head over Biform with Free Air six lengths away in front of True Blood, Cruachan, Cargen, Thespis, Mia Stella, Trishna and Goodfellow. Time, 3.2 2-5.

High Commissioner repeated his first day’s form and although his winning margin was a narrow one his display throughout was full of merit. Biform improved on his first day’s running and was somewhat unlucky. Free Air also went a solid race. Thespis faded away over the final bit as did Cruachan.

Tutchen, Te Rapa. Puss Moth commanded most attention with £3Ol 10s and £l9O 10s, Sinking Fund carrying £9O 10s and £125. Sweet Whisper was entrusted with £2O 10s for a place. They went away to a good start, Hushing being the first to become prominent from Welcome Lu, Dark Marble, Sinking Fund and Puss Moth. Welcome Lu moved up to assume •command across the top where she was followed by Sinking Fund, Puss Moth, Dark Marble, Chief Lap, Beau Irish and Allegretto. Welcome Lu was clear into the straight with Puss Moth close up and Chief Lap, Sinking Fund, Beau Irish, Sweet Whisper, Allegretto and Miss Lulu all within striking distance. Sinking Fund sorted himself out and finishing fast on the •outer won by a neck in a good finish from Puss Moth, who beat , Sweet Whisper, who also finished solidly by a sinfilar margin. Beau Irish was next to finish and then came Allegretto, Welcome Lu, Chief Lap and Miss Lulu. Time, 1.18 3-5. Sinking Fund, who to-day was ridden by H. N, Wiggins, gave an improved display. Puss Moth failed to go on, while Sweet Whisper finished on well at the end. Allegretto looked likely over the last hit hut could not go it with the leaders.

St. Warrigal had the best of the start and cleared the first fence ahead of Make-up, Alaster Lu, and Wiltshire. Alake-up came down at the sod wall along the back and St. Warrigal led over the stand double from Star Comet, Wiltshire, Lucess, Master Lu and Kawini. Star Comet 'had charge for a spell across the back with St. Warrigal handy, followed by AVlltshire, Lucess and Kawini. Wiltshire was in front across the top and led info the straight from Lucesfy, Kawini, St. Warrigal, Star Comet and Alaster Lu. Wiltshire, going on. won com•fortably by Ihroe lengths from Lucess with Kawini two lengths further back. Star Comet was next, followed by Master Lu and St. Warrigal. Time, 3.30.
