(To -the Editor.) Sir.—Might I be permitted to correct a statement In the report of my leoture on the World Crisis as it appeared on Tuesday, May IG. I am reported to have said, “ Had it been possible to organise the processes of exohange as efficiently as the processes of production the standard of living oould have been ton times higher to-day." What I did say was that It was by no means unreasonable to expect such a standard in a hundred years’ time, If our economic system were properly organised to take a reasonable advantage of Increases in technical efficiency.—l am, etc., H.
