IMPROVING CONDITIONS.

SPECIAL MEETING ARRANGED. NORTH ISLAND BREEDERS. (By Telegraph.—rress Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. Advantage will lie taken of the presence of sheep-breeders attending the annual conference *vhlch will be held at Massey College, to hold a special meeting at Palmerston North next week to discuss the future programme of wool research and breeding developments insofar as the North Island problems are concerned. It is anticipated that the ActingMinister of Scientific and Industrial Research, Hon. E. A. Ransom, and the Minister of Agriculture, Hon. C. E. Macmillan, will address the meeting. The wool-growers are desirous of ding fully into the question as to what measures can lie taken to improve the present position in regard to the industry, and this conference of North Island breeders is intended to stimulate interest in wool production and perhaps to inaugurate measures designed to improve the present situation.
