SOCIAL CLUB. N The Hautapu Social Club held an enjoyable dance and social evening in the local hall last night. During the evening items were as follows :—Songs, Miss Maud ‘Giles, Miss Jean McLeod, Miss Violet Appleby, Mr G. Peters, Mr F. Norman; pianoforte solo, Mr Gane 'Harbutt; humorous monologues, Miss N. iLangton, Mr Weatheral). Mr Alf. Boyce officiated as accompanist. The dance musio wa £ supplied by Mr F. Morriss and his orchestra and Mr T. Barr made a capable M.C. At the close 'Of the entertainment Mr T. Russell thanked those who had assisted in making the evening a success. McLeod, black panne velvet; N. Langton, autumn tinted chiffon; M. Giles, pink souple satin; D. Giles, blue floral ninon; J. Watt, autumn-tinted voile; T. Laurent, black and white souple satin; K. Bourke, scarlet satin; V. McLeod, cherry satin beaute; B. Cu'bis, flame georgette; K. Miller, white satin; 'D. C.obke, hailstone muslin; >K. Sullivan, red and white gingham; B. Sands, blue floral georgette; G. Atkinson, blue floral voile; A. Miller, parchment satin and lace; J. McLeod, green flowered georgette; E. Bourke, lemon velvet; V. Appleby, ■black georgette; 'Keeiey, red striped voile; 0. Bishop, black celanese; H. Cleary, green embossed satin; N. Hurst, violet velvet; L. Neal, green georgette. Personal. The following are the guests of Miss Watt, "Abergeldie”:—Mrs Morrison and her son-in-law, Mr Dlantled and his three sons, of Devonport; Mr and Mrs Stanners, of Mt. Eden; Mrs Biss, of ML Eden; Mrs Groos, of Herne Bay, and Mrs Smith, of Manure wa. Mr and Mrs K. Butler have returned home. Miss B. Watt has returned to Taupo ■after spending Easter with her parents. Mr and Mrs Glover have returned from a trip to North Auckland.
