ITEMS OF INTEREST. ANZAC DAY. TO-MORROW’S COMMEMORATION. (Special to Times.) Anzac Day to-morrow will be observed in Cambridge on similar lines to previous years. At one o’clock the Municipal Band will lead a parade of returned soldiers,- territorials, boy scouts and girl guides from the Drill Hall and a memorial service will be held in the Town Hall at 1.30. The service will be conducted by the local ministers, the Rev. Jas. Richards delivering the address. On Anzac night a benefit picture will be screened in the Town Hall, the proceeds to be devoted to the relief of distress among ex-service-xnent in the district.

POPPY DAY APPEAL. The sale of Flanders poppies :n Cambridge, organised by Misses Brann and Priestley, amounted to £l9 J Os, as compared with £3l 7s 3d last year.

EX-SERVICEMEN’S. ASSOCIATION MEETING OF COMMITTEE. At a meeting of the committee of the Cambridge Ex-Servicemen’s Association, the president, Mr. D. J. Lundon, presided over a full attendance. It was decided to recommend to the annual meeting, which will be held following the parade on Anzac Day, that the annual reunion be held on the same lines as last year’s function. In connection with Anzac Day, Lieutenant A. J. Swayne will be permanent adjutant for the parade and the ' president O.C. parade. The secretary, Mr. T. H. Hampshire, presented a report on the operations of the association during the 10 years since its resuscitation. During that time 23 ex-servicemen and their dependents have received pensions in the Cambridge district, as well as seven widows. Fifteen exsoldiers have received free treatment either as in or out patients at various hospitals and have been practically restored to health.

GOLF. MEDAL ROUND POSTPONED. ! ’ ' The first medal round of the Cambridge Golf Club, which was to have been played on Saturday, was postponed on account of the weather: . The ladies’ -club will play a medal match on Wednesday.

BOWLING. FIRST-YEAR MATCH. • A flrst-year team from the Leamington Bowling Club visited the Cambridge club on Saturday and played a match with the local first-year team. The game resulted in an easy win for the Cambridge team. The players were: Cambridge, H. L. Possenniskie, R. Miller, J. Young, W. R. Garrard (skip). Leamington: F. Straw-bridge; A. McDonald, W. Horne •said T. A. Hicks (skip). FOOTBALL. UNITED -CLUB'S PRACTICE.

The United Football Club held another practice match on Saturday afternoon. Though the ground was wet, in two short spClls some good form was shown. Mr. T. Kerr was referee.
