DEALINGS IN WHEAT.

The closing strength of American and Canadian advices was more than counterbalanced by the rapid changes in the dollar exchanges, consequently trading In wheat cargoes was restricted and prices nominally unchanged. Parcels are steady and unchanged. Futures: London, June delivery, 20s 6d per quarter; September, 21s Id; Liverpool, May delivery, 4s Bgd per cental; July, 4s 10id; October, 5s Old; December, 5s lid. Spot trade is quiet, Australian ex-ship, 25s to 25s 6d. WINNIPEG, April 20.
Wheat futures scored smashing gains of 2J cents in a wild opening. Backed by the phenomenal sales of Canadian wheat for export totalling 4,000,000 bushels in the last two days, futures withstood profit-taking throughout an active session closing H cents to 11 cents higher, to bring the total gains in the last two sessions to 21 cents. The volume of transactions was enormous. CHICAGO, April 20.
A maximum advance of 51 cents a bushel was scored in wheat futures on opening. All other grains followed. Enormous sales of wheat by profit takers ■ caused prices to react somewhat, the initial gains being marked, generally coasting along about two cents above Wednesday’s finish. The following are the latest quotations for wheat.—May delivery, 67 cents.; July, 681 cents; September, 69|cents; New York, cash, 771 cents.
