PROTEST TO BRITAIN. M. HERRIOT’S COMMENT. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. PARIS, April 19. In an article In La Sepeche, published at Toulouse, M. Hemet, who Is making a voyage to Washington, describes the German protest lodged with the British Government against recent anti-German statements in the House of Commons as "a new blunder added to so many others. Besides one cannot defy Israel with Impunity.” Praising the condemnation of the revision of treaties by members of the House of Commons, irf view of the present state of Germany, M. Herriot declares: “ Britain has awakened and the Four Power Pact has been thrown overboard.' We can breathe again. The vigorous British democracy now understands what' is hidden under the 'sophism of treaty revision. It is a remarkable volte face facilitating our work at Washington."
