Safe-breakers entered the George Street West Post Office in the city last night and inserted a large charge of explosive in the lock of the safe door, which was blown off. The office furniture was wrecked. The explosion was heard throughout the neighbourhood, and the thieves, apparently becoming frightened, hurriedly decamped, stealing only £2O. They left more than £3OO in the safe.
