BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY.
FREE FAIR ARRANGEMENTS. AMALGAMATION WITH Y.M.C.A. The fortnightly meeting of the Hamilton Beautifying Society was held last night, the chairman, Mr W. H. Paul, presiding. There were also present Messrs T. 0. Reynolds. ,T. F. Strang, W. G. Pountney, E. V. Quick, R. Parr. H. E. Ja'cka, A. Beuth (secretary) and A. Elliott (foreman. Leave of absence was granted Mr R. C. Fowler. Reporting on the conference between a sub-committee from the society and the Y.M.C.A. in the matter of amalgamating in conducting the Free Fair on March 10 and 11, Mr Jacka said the society's delegation had been impressed by the suggestions for street processions and other features offered by the Y.M.C.A. and had decided to enlist their co-operation. The committee’s action was approved.
